Think I fancy a crazy big American pickup, love the look of the heavy duty double back wheel trucks. I think I've been taken in by Chevrolets excellent marketing, making out that the Silverado is the best, better power, stronger chassis with less flex, superior rear diff lock etc etc. however it's the only pickup that does not currently have a version for sale in the UK. Does anyone have one here in the UK to share their experience so far? Or can you recommend a possible importer who knows the Silverado? Thanks all.

Dodge Ram and Ford F series are more prevalent over here because they are a more recognisable US truck so sell in greater numbers.

Strength of chassis and diff is irrelevant due to towing and weight regulations.

I've personally owned a GMC heavy duty truck and am a big fan of them. They're a much better finish than the others, but they're also dearer.

Don't forget that the heavy spring rates in an HD truck means they drive like the rear end is made out of cast concrete.

A mate of mine had a 2003 chevy dually with the 6.6 duramax diesel, nice truck but not as nice inside as the ford or as well made , the dualys are hard work in town and the rural roads due to there 8ft plus width !!!I would stick to a 3/4ton as a daily driver but a 1 ton dualy would be fun as a show truck...

Hi, see your in the business, like the look of the big black Ram 3500 you have in. I live up in the Lakes, although a nice place to live its always the wrong end of the country for my petrol habit. If a get chance to get down sometime I will give you a call.
