Hi,

I own a Firebird. Had it since I was 20, (now 32). It was red with T-tops, and a tan interior. It had the 'Ground Effects' kit on it but the most ugly front bumper, that a previous owner had made worse by cutting into (presumably with a knife and fork) to install some unsightly fog lamps.

However this did not matter to me, as I had big plans for it.

After many trials tribulations, being ripped of by various scrotes, with the help of mates and my Dad along the way, and then finding a great bodyshop...

I documented the project if you are interested: http://tinyurl.com/cljxpbf

Alas I don't get to drive it much, it's been in storage for a couple of years, and now the brakes have completely had it. I plan to sort that out this year. I'd love to upgrade rather than just replace the existing system.

Fantastic KITT rep Riiidaa, I was going to say 'snap' when i first opened the thread, then I saw the next picture wink Amazing that you've had the car so long - the longest I've owned a car was four years with my first Micra lol

Is yours the V6 or a V8? Why on earth did the previous owner add more foglights? Didn't the originals work?

I hope you get it back on the road soon, would love to see it around! I've got a friend who is running a show in May and he's looking for a KITT replica, but alas I haven't found one yet! Shame yours isn't on the road otherwise it'd be perfect!

Hey Niki, thanks for the compliment.

Depending on where the show is and my work schedule, I might be up for doing a show in May, even if it's trailered up and back. Depending on if it's on private ground if the car is still SORN'd then.

To be honest though, if the weather stays this cold for weeks, I can't see me / others wanting to work ouside to get it all cleaned and prep'd.

Mine's the 3.1 V6 auto with straight-through exhausts. Most Yank Tank owners can't see anything that isn't a V8 and most other car drivers can't get enough of anything over a 2 litre so being a car modder in both camps it was kinda limbo land, if yours was v6 I guess you'll know what I mean.

No worries! smile

The show is being held on the 18th May at Leeds Castle in Kent, and my friend is organizing it so he wanted me to muster up some interest! I will PM you links as I don't think PH will like me posting them here...

But I know what you mean with this weather, dad isn't getting round to fixing my car at the moment because of all this rubbish rain/snow/coldness! He just wants it off his driveway lol

Ah nice, I think to be honest you can laugh at the V8 owners, doesn't the V6 have similar power to the base 305CI? Mine is the V8, and it does have straight through I believe, but only one exit frown
Bet your still sounds good though smile

i own an 87 305 firebird and in all honesty the power difference between the v6 and 305 isnt much onlt difference is noise really and torque, that said ive heard that the v6s sound pretty sweet
