I am reaching a point with my current car that it's becoming annoyingly unreliable, so i'd like to begin thinking of its replacement. I have always wanted an American V8, and maybe this is the time to make that jump. However, i am not mechanically minded, and therefore need something reliable and easy to live with! What options do i have for sub £15k? I am not concerned about LHD, but do live in the middle of a city and will have to cope with street parking and the associated risks of these areas.

What options do i realistically have other than a 300C, and maybe a (~2005) Mustang? and how reliable are those two options?

Finally, is there actually anywhere nearish to Cardiff that can service these vehicles?

Thanks

They're bullet proof if you service them regularly.

Anyone can service them as it's pretty much just an oil and filter change most of the time.

Any other criteria?
4+ seater, SUV/saloon, insurance group, mpg etc?

Champagne taste and beer money this end Patrick, plus I'd need to get a rig along the lines of this just to get in and out http://www.sparrowhawk.ca/transfer-seats.php?item=...

Hi Matt,
I'm in Cardiff with a supercharged Mustang GT and do all my own servicing but any mechanic can service them as they are not complicated at all. You can certainly get a 2005 Mustang for £15k or less though finding a manual box may be harder.

Visit www.s197.co.uk for more threads where others have been looking. Seems to be a sudden resurgence of interest in them at present.

Lovely truck mate, and I don't do manuals either. Would love a sit in one.

Love the size of that Rumble Bee compared to the Rangey! laugh
Unfortunately I can't really offer many additions to what has already been said, as I'm only on my first yank, so not familiar with them yet!
