Well its in black and white, section 8.

Perhaps its a misprint biggrin or GM issue stuff in error, though I guess that could be the case.

Looks pretty likely to me.

Given the blown 5.8 Shelby GT500 whooped their ZL's ass, the 7.0 insertion might make sense but surely it would need a supercharger as well to compete with the GT500 and exceed the output of the ZL585?

I also thought the LS7 was on the way out being part hand-built, making it expensive, and surely an LS9 would be cheaper otherwise why is the ZR1 not a blown LS7?

It makes no logical sense to me.

Doesn't really feel like the gt500 whooped the Canaro ZL1s anything, they maybe aimed at the same demographic but a lot of reviews say the zl1 is a very respectable, grown up car compared to the gt500

Yeah ZL1 will be tops, Maybe a Z/28 will be equiv to the Z06, so not the same level of performance, but NA power.
Perhaps better suited to curves. Who knows. 1LE with Z06 in it = z/28.

Maybe they need to dump the LS7 engines they have spare to make way for the new LT1 stuff. So shove them into the Camaro and call it a z/28..?

After lots of beers we could wreck both of them wink
If you just hand me the keys, I'm very willing to take care of that for you, for no beers at all...

(It would cost you quite a few laps on the Nurburgring though, until I make a mistake there LOOOOL)

Yea, the ZL1 also whoops the Shelby's ass. Depends how you look at it and what the cars were built for. As far as lap times, ZL1 is ahead of the competition.
