Hi guys,

As some of you may have seen, I'm looking at taking the S/C off my corvette and putting it back to N/A. I'm looking at manifold intakes at them moment. Had my eye on these:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-7101/overvie...

However, I noticed at the bottom it says that it has no provision for exhaust heated chokes. I was considering pairing it with a manual choke Edelbrock 600 carb (http://www.roadcraftuk.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=41_151&product_id=121).

Does anyone know if that pairing will work ok? The engine is a crate GM350.

Also as an aside, what else will I need to put the car back to N/A other than the intake manifold and a smaller carb (currently has a 750 on it)?

Thanks!

Oh further investigation, seems not. RPM intakes need upgraded cylinder heads (£1,000 - owch!) amongst other things, so I guess I'll be going for something a bit less extreme!

can you not get edelbrock carb with electric choke and RPM intake.
You may need RPM cam, matching torque converter and rear gears, I think RPM stuff is 1500 - 6500rpm

Any reason you particularly want a manual choke, the electric choke Edelbrocks work well...

The Edelbrock Air Gap inlet is arguably the best all-round dual plane manifold.

I have an air gap manifold and Holley HP carb with no choke at all, I drive with both feet for a few minutes.
PS I have never had a yank with a choke in 30 years!

What he said. I chose RPM Air Gap on my Brodix oval port BBC lump after reading comparative test of similar inlet manifolds, both single and dual plane, in dyno tests on a big block Chevy the Air Gap RPM has similar bhp figures compared with single plane Victor Junior except over 6000 rpm where there were minimal gains. For a street engine that is perfectly acceptable. Use a Pro Form double pumper carb without choke - accelerator pumps do the job of a choke when cold.
