You need to Google American car insurance and just ring every name that comes up.

That car shouldn't cost for than £500 to insure.

Pop to WHS pick up a copy of Classic American, its full of american car insurance firms, as you're 26 you should be able to get a classic policy with limit mileage which will drop the price of the quote

I'm with A-Plan, I've always been totally satisfied with their customer service and they'll shop around for the best deal. I'm 28 and pay around £550 for my '92 Camaro Z28 5.7, it's garaged and limited to 5000 miles a year.

Sometimes it pays to be a bit older.

I've been getting quotes today for the 2006 SRT8 6.1 JGC I hope to collect this week. Fully comp., me and wife, incl. legal cover but not breakdown.

House insurance is with Saga - they quoted £228.
Dog and both current cars are with Direct Line. They quoted £185. I can live with that.

Some interesting figures people are getting here.

My 2003 F150 Supercharged HD is £450.00 (5000miles) a year with NFU

Quotes for a Jeep SRT8 have been around the £500 mark (8000miles).

46 full No claims in rural bedfordshire.

Perhaps i should ignore the offer of a free meerkat and speak direct to the specialists biggrin

67 Camaro, 27 years old with classicline, £300. The only thing to be weary of is a lot of policies stipulate that the car is kept in a locked garage overnight.

I spent a whole morning ringing round and found them to be the cheapest.

With Yanks, specialists are the best way to go. There are a lot of them out there who will offer a lot of cover for not a huge amount of money.

As has been said though, just watch out for certain stipulations about where the car is, can it be used for x etc.

Adrian Flux have always been imo ridiculously over priced, some alternatives:
