If anyone is thinking of selling theirs or knows anyone who wants to sell - let me know.

Pretty limited pool of these available at the moment on here, autotrader and ebay so thought i'd have a punt here smile

Would rather get it from a private seller than garage - no point in paying a couple of grand over the odds for the privilege of a £50.00 warranty...

Cash waiting (and burning a hole in my pocket)

Cheers

Dean.

4 at the moment - all from dealers

2 high mileage
1 not bad mileage but dealer didnt respond when i asked about condition/tyres/mot etc.
1 looks good but a bit over priced

I want a nice pistonhead type owner's car - someone who owned it for what it is, not a dealer trying to might a fast couple of £k

A mate looked in to buying one about three years ago. Gave up in the end as we couldn't find a decent one. All had issue,s. Nothing mechanical. They just all looked tatty for the money he was paying. Two were being sold by main dealer as well. Was rather impressed by the performance. The only thing that puts me off is the fact it has very, very limited off road ability. No transfer box. And limited drive to the front wheels.

Excellent choice. I just looked at the classifieds.. They are a hair cheaper in the UK than here on their home turf.

The only thing I'd say to watch for is the transmissions... If they aren't taken care of (fluid changed no more than 50k) they can die around 100k. I buy every nice one I can get my hands on and I've gone as far away as California to get them. If you get a good one that's been cared for there's nothing else like it.

Too bad you're not in the US, I recently bought an 09 with 18k miles that's about the nicest one I've ever had biggrin

Off road capability isnt something im overly concerned about - i've had a 52plate 4.0 GC for nearly 6 years and love it - never really had any problems just time to replace it. I was going for an overland diesel, but accidently searched and pulled up the SRT which totally changed my mind. Having what im used to with the GC plus wicked performance will be a great setup.

I currently run a Supercharged F150 as my weekender, but like the idea of similar/better performance in a 4x4 daily drive biggrin

Thats for the tips !!

Definately plenty on the road in the US - i spend some time over at cherokeesrt8 looking longingly at all the great cars people have there frown

Currently i think there is only 170 on the road in the UK, so is going to take a while for one thats just right to crop up - but i shall continue to wait...

Already have one LHD, and want a RHD for daily driving so importing is probably a non starter too

I wouldn't import one. As a reference, and this is a retail price, not trade... For export I'd be looking for $38,700 for the 09 that I have on the lot. It is a MINT one with 19k on it and no paintwork or damage but that's, what, 24k sterling? I doubt it's worth, RHD, that much in the UK.

At the moment we have 3 in stock, and just bought 2 more today.. but those are already sold.

Amazing how much better second hand holds its price in the US - a '06 has just appeared on another site - 57k miles for £11k !!

Cant imagine what state that will be in...

If a dealer is selling at that he cant have paid much more than £9k

I could sell that truck, if it's nice, for around $23,000. Part of the difference here is you can't tell a vehicle's age from its' reg number, a 2006 and a 2010 parked next to each other are basically indistinguishable.

That could be the one I've just put a refundable deposit on. It's not actually in the garage yet.

I used to have one, great machine if you can get past the thirst. Just the noise, the noise!

Had mine about 10 months, spent a bit on a service including the previously missed 16 spark plug change(!) and paid a small fortune for transmission and transfer box oil changes.

Loved it but the thirst meant i just didnt use it as much as i should!

Let us know how you get on Rob - hopefully it looks as good as the one in their photo which i guess from their add isnt the actual one they are selling

Thankfully i only do 14 miles a day for my commute - plus the 4.0 GC doesnt return much different in MPG and i've managed with that for nearly 6 years.

Having the Supercharged F150 too prepares you for low teen MPG.

And yes i want that sound for my daily drive biggrin

Exactly right, Dean. They used the photos from the last one - which sold in one day!
The garage is only 6 miles from me and the guy says he likes them so much he seeks them out from around the country - if the price is right.
Shall I tell him he has another potential buyer waiting?

If he could find a nice low mileage silver one i'd be very interested indeed !!

Good luck with your purchase - look forward to seeing some pictures smile
