This is local to me, just wondered what they're like for the other half?
She has a Beetle convertible at the moment, but wants a change.
I don't like everyday cars (golfs, A3's etc), and think these look quite good.
2.8D's in either manual or auto - but other than plastic interior, is there anything else I should be worried about?

I bought one for my other half in 2009. Has been a good, solid workhorse. No negatives at all, other than road tax being steep
Watch for wheel corrosion. If it has any and is under warranty you should have no issues replacing. The handbrake gaiter zip can break, but that seems about it.
Generally admired wherever it goes - it remains a non-mainstream choice and one that we've been very happy with.
Only weird thing with that is that it looks like it's got cloth seats? I thought leather was standard on SXTs?
You can certainly buy a CRD SXT with leather for about the same money!
