New Challengers
Discussion
You'll never really be short of a buyer as they are far rarer than Mustangs and Camaros but it is a big car and it is LHD so you're still appealing to American car fans to a large degree.
The Hemi is a pushrod V8 so there's bugger all difficult to do in the way of servicing and you could service it yourself if so inclined.

Mustang is lighter and solid rear axle.
Camaro weighs a ton with zero visability.
Challenger also weighs a ton, more than the camaro, its based on a sedan platform. So basically large sedan size.
Still I like the challenger because its spacious and looks pretty good. The new 6.4 is supposed to be much better than the older 6.1 suspension and handling improved.
Not sure why people like the mustang, perhaps its cheaper on gas and sounds better off the showroom floor.
I do think the Challengers are overpriced though, you can get a 2005 v8 mudstain for £9k, Camaro's are around £20k and challengers £5k more than that..
So I guess on that basis its not surprising the mustang is more popular.
For modding the camaro wins with the largest aftermarket for the LS engine range.

There are so few because so few people want one.
The problem was it was too expensive to start with, given it was dynamically inferior to the Mustang, and there are legions of Mustang fans who had already bought their cars by the time it was launched. I also think that this generation of Mustang has had a far greater percentage of long term buyers who keep the miles off and the paint dry - so many won't buy another car.
There were also the old Camaro afficionados who waited 7 years for the new Camaro and were never going to be denied.
I accept that limits the potential market but I still know plenty of people who would pick the Challenger.
which has a bit more room in the back for families - it has 3 rear belts for a start so that alone would have put it at the top of my own list.
having played with all 3 I does strike me that the Challenger is better screwed together than the other 2 it really felt a nice place to be. Performance-wise I was happpy with what the Challenger offered too - I know that the other 2 are 'better' but (hopefully!) in 3 years I'll be looking at an auto 392
Nothing wrong with a big-engined Yank auto - great consistency in the drags. that little rise of the nose when you rev it, all depends what you want from your driving. I hate to say it but I preferred my Corvette C4 Auto to the recalcitrant gearbox in my C5 Z06 which was a hindrance rather than a help.

Why on earth would you get an auto?
quite simple - I'm a lazy fker who likes slushboxes, I've gone through the whole canning the arse off it in all gears stage and just appreciate being able to press on when needed and relax in town and when I don't want to press onI've got a Merc diesel for that
Touching on the previous comments, i bought a 2006 mustang as a daily driver 41/2 years ago as i have a 1975 corvette and wanted a four seater so that as a family we could still go to american car shows (i then had a son only) so the mustang was purchased as they were complete bargains in my view as i purchased a 2006 V6 (i know i know but it was a daily and looked the bizz once i lowered it and put on 20" razors) so a 2/12 year old mustang with 12,500 miles on the clock for £12,500!! with a view that in 4 years time the camaro will have been out a while and depreciated like a rock just like the mustangs had, then we decided to expand the family, SUPRISE we had twin girls ! So at the time i was awaiting the new Camaro to appear as i needed a 5 seater yank as we were taking the corvette and mustang to the shows so we could all go, then the camaro appeared and doh 4 seats like the mustsang and they have not depriciated as there just is not enough of them so the market has not been flooded like the mustangs, so i looked around and the Challenger seemed to fit the bill being a 5 seater :-) but again these are holding their values due to low numbers. Sadly the Challenger is going to stay out of reach for me so at the moment kept the mustang as i do so love the look of it.

Same story here, I'm watching the Camaro prices and Challengers and quite surprised at how they are staying high. Once they get sensible I will be investing
