Last year I kept the Camaro fully taxed all year round, despite it being awful weather and barely getting out on for more than a couple of thousand miles tops. My tax disc reminder came through this time and...for the first time I've taken it off the road for a while! I have a broken ankle, so realistically I wouldn't get to attempt to drive it until around October/November and by then no doubt it will be raining all the time and I wouldn't take it out anyway.

Sorry, fairly mundane topic I suppose. Just never faced up to NOT driving the Camaro for a while...

Throw me the keys and I'll keep it exercised and I promise I won't swap the LS engine out of it, honest wink

I did this a year or so ago and found it was a PITA when it came to re-taxing as if you do it online, you can only tax on the 1st of the month and you then have to wait 5 days for the disc. It's a real hassle going to the Post Office and it's actually easier to wait for the disc.

Cheers for that, I was wondering. I guess I'll just plan ahead then. MOT and service will be due around end of March so I'll diarise to sort the TD in plenty of time. Ta.

I didn`t tax my camaro for a couple of months because I literally had no money to do so. I just got a rebate so I taxed it again yesterday. What camaro you got? I`ve got a 99 Z28

Same! Slightly modified with updated brakes and twin tail pipes. Red, like almost every one I ever see. Yours?

Nice colour. Changing the exhaust certainly helps it sound more..."V8". Mine was a Flowmaster clone. A Euro model too but never bothered changing the mirrors. A few times I've thought about selling her on as its been hard to find the time to drive her some months, but a minute behind the wheel and I'm like a big kid with it again. Love it.
