Talking to a rodding mate of mine recently about motors and he prefers the 327 motor, says that he finds it more tunable and the power delivery is more suited to the light rod, the 350 is ok but overkill.

I don't know if his opinion is right, or more widespread but I know he has had a hell of a lot of interesting rods that have always been damn good fun.

The converstion came up because he asked me what engine I have in the 67 Camaro, I told him It had a 327 but I was considering a 350.

there is a chevy 305c.i. - just been built - on Ebay - 1750 - makes over 300 bhp

I have got a 3-speed torque-flte in good order you can have for 250(still running in my project).
