Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone could help

I have just replaced my stock chevy L98 cast iron heads with Edelbrock Aluminium E-street items(in Overfinch Discovery).

The original water temp sensor in the cast heads is way too small to fit into the threaded holes in the e-streets

There is no mention of this anywhere in the literature or on Edelbrock's website.

I have also fitted a performer cam and inlet with a 600 carb - the TPinjection has been binned.

I know I could tap the original item into the water run in the inlet manifold, but if anyone knows of a better solution I would be grateful.

Many thanks

Nothing wrong with using 'tapping' in inlet manifold to sensor - its dosen't record cylinder head temperature just water temperature!

You just need a male-to-female threaded adapter. Try Think Auto...

IMO, you're better-off with the water temp sender in the head.

Thanks Guys

I managed to get one that does the job from Dart Corvette in Tonbridge - apparently although the E-street heads are specifically for earlier pre-LS engines the sensor holes are the same size as the later LS engines.
