As it's just up the road from me, I might exhibit the Z06.

Persumably, I have to be a member of the AACI to exhibit? If so, can I just sign-up and turn-up?

Really? I'm talking about exhibiting, not just spectating.

Of course you have to pay. Since just about everyone will be turning up with American cars, the club would make no money if they let them all in for free.

Err, I'm not on about trying to get in for free... thought it was a simple enough question?

I'm interested in SHOWING my car... not parking-up as a spectator. I don't mind paying, I simply was wanting to know how I go about exhibiting.

Bit late now, but nevermind... I'll find the AACI stand and see if I can sign-up and secure a pitch if the weather's decent.

I was expecting to find some info on the AACI website about how to show your car, but there's absolutely nothing on there about how to go about doing that.

American cars park on the showfield, Joe Blogs in his Volvo parks elsewhere on the site and walk into the showfield.

There isn't any requirement to fill out a "I want to show my car" form, you just park up, and if you like put a car information sheet on the dashboard.

The judges will walk round the showfield and award the best in show awards towards the end of the day. e.g. "Best 80's car", "Best van" etc.

Excellent! Thanks smile

I'll have to print something up and stick it under the wipers / on the dash.

Having the paintwork wet-sanded in the morning, so hope it goes well!

It's just a field event where all the Yanks park on the main field. Corvette Owners Club usually have a stand just across from the field so might be worth signing up for next year.

Might sign-up tomorrow and park over on the club stand then, if there's room.

Bloody weather. Not bothering now since the amount of rain we're having here means the ground at Billing is no doubt water-logged.

Seems to happen a lot at the Spring Nats. The Summer Nats are your best bet.

Did go in the end as it brightened-up mid-afternoon. Didn't get there until about 3pm, so only caught the closing stages. Seemed tiny compared to previous years, but had a couple of good chats with fellow enthusiasts so was still worth going.

The way the weather is these days, perhaps the Autumn Nats will have the best weather. No fun taking pics of the cars when its raining/cloudy.
