A soldier who went over the top in WW1 or someone who'll take that on - not sure which would be the braver.
These Firebirds do rust especially under the back window - as you can see in the photo.
The 4th gen dash is all well and good but the gauges in the vents look amateur and it takes away from the originality. Panels are available but shipping costs are the killer. I could see you investing a lot of time and cost and be worse off then buying a tidy one.

Such as this - better year and probably destined to increase in price:

Subject to only a cursory inspection I'd have the wheels (or should that be rims hehe), would be better if the rears were elevens or twelves, but I could still do something with them.

Don't have a use for the rest really.

there's a reason it's an unfinished project and that is that the current owner has likely bitten off more than he can chew and made a complete hash of things. Unless you are a skilled/talented car person with good facilities on hand I'd run a mile

I spotted that yesterday, and thought.... hmmmmmmm..

Some good ideas, but hard to tell how much has been done properly, and if that's you want, rather than a stock (dull) original version.. and exactly what else needs sorting, most of it by the looks of it..
Cost depends how much work you can do yourself, but if you farm it out to some else to finish could easily be £20k upwards to do it properly...

Complete junk. Or rubbish as you would say. Wrong engine, should have a Pontiac engine. Fenders (wings) were made into T/A fenders as the vents are placed too far forward. Forth gen dash? Hacked to death.

I hope his health improves so he can finish it. Otherwise just a parts car, and I hope the parts in his garage look better than the pile of bad parts in the picture.
