Good morning gentlemen!

I'm looking at getting an 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm having trouble finding information on the trim levels.

The one I am looking at is a Laredo, but I Can't find any information on this trim level. I have looked on parkers but it wasn't on there.

Does anyone on here know the difference between the laredo and the other levels?

Thanks

Tom

Laredo is base spec. Unusual to find them in the UK.

Is it the previous shape or fist of the new model?

It'll have cloth trim, probably air con as opposed to climate control and will be missing a lot of the electric goodies.

It needs to be much cheaper than a limited to make it worth while buying. A lot of the Laredos that came into the UK where parallel imports from someone who reckons he could buy them direct from the factory. Make of that what you like.

Hi Roo,

That's great, thank you! It was the first of the new shape smile

We've gone for an Overland instead now.

Overland is a much better car and being the first of that shape has the best 4x4 system before they opted for the cheaper version a couple of years later.

Hi,

The Overland we went for is an 06 model. Do you know if that will still have the best 4x4 system?

Viper, your reply seriously confused me as I was trying to work out how I had replied to myself! biggrin

If my hazey memory serves me right from when they were launched the earlier cars came with Quada Drive 2 4x4 systems.

This was later replaced with the cheaper, and not quite as good, Quada Trac 2 system.

It will tell you next to the gear lever what system is has got in it.
