I am after a couple of new parts for my Crossfire but all of the UK specialists seem to want to rip your arm of with ridiculous prices!

Anyone have any contacts in America where I can get some prices please?
I did have one & I think it was called Mopar, but the website doesn't seem familiar.
Many thanks.

What with a Crossfire being an old Merc SLK 320 under the skin maybe try and find the part you need from a Merc indy. Failing that a Chrysler dealer is probably your best bet in this country. Mopar is the official tuning arm of the company so probably won't be cheap.

Cheers guys. thumbup

I am after a new front grill (mine has just faded in colour).
A new rear spoiler motor (£800 in the UK) + driver seat heater motor.

I would have though even an indy would get those parts straight from a Chrysler dealer anyway as I doubt there are many if any aftermarket options for them so an indy will be buying the part from a dealer and I expect adding a bit so just going to the dealer yourself is probably best.

I see what you are saying but UK specialists do add a massive amount to the total.
The spoiler motor was £800 from the UK but direct from the states it was £170.
I just can't remember where I had seen that! irked

I have just sent a txt off to a friend of mine at the Chrysler dealer I used to work at to see what he says the price is. When you say heated seat motor do you mean the motor to move the seat backwards/ forwards or the heating pad that makes your bum warm?

Our old parts guy has set himself up as an independent. He sometimes gets hold of obsolete stock at very good prices.

Trades under the name of Magnum Automotive.

MOPAR....short for motor parts, and that's what you'll need when you have a Chrysler.

Here in the US, if you need Chrysler parts, you just head out to the junkyard.

But seriously, search the US junkyards. Most will be familiar with overseas shipping, and should save you money.

MOPAR is a name that means all of Chrysler products, in slang terms, but mostly it is factory Chrysler parts.
