Ford F150 Lightning Head Gasket Job
Discussion
Hi Any of you Lightning owners had to replace the head gaskets? Trucks running fine I know one has slighty gone so will do both obviously, every thing arrived today just waiting to get started wondering what hurdles may lay ahead.
I am hoping to do this with the engine in, which i believe is possible, its a 2002 motor btw

Check out http://rebel-v8.co.uk/index.php plenty of owners there
It's a nice easy job with the motor out.
However with it insitu you'll end up with back ache and skinned knuckles.
Good Luck
BTW pay special attention when setting the cam timing as you have to strip
the front end off the motor and its a PITA
Remove radaitor, inner wheel arches etc etc for access
Personally I would pull the motor out complete and carry out the work
on the bench.
