Love this car, wonder how much they would charge for it at UK dealerships!

News to me. I had been informed by a senior engineer that the reason we did not have a RHD CTS-V was due to the reduced size of the right hand footwell thanks to larger transmissions. I'll believe it when I can order it!

CTS-V uses a 6L90e box, which is slightly beefier version of the 6L80e as used in the UK RHD VXR8 - so i'm not sure thats the issue.

The gearbox is not positioned centrally in the car Elliot, it is actually slightly off center to allow for a larger driver's footwell. I've had the privilege of one for the last two years. This all seems non-sensical as the dashboards and interior trim parts required to make the car RHD have existed from day one. This will only be built if they can find a market in Australia, South Africa and Japan. I think Autocar have 2 + 2 = 22.........

Looks quite central in this photo i found in google.

Is it that the tunnel is wider on one side to provide clearance for controls or the exhaust maybe?

I had it confirmed by somebody within GM that this is actually referring to the next generation CTS and V Series so there won't be a RHD CTS-V for 4 years or so, if that....
