as title really, I fancy getting hold of a 67 camaro project, I would prefer a solid car or an unfinished project, not bothered bout colour as I would be looking to paint it black anyway, model spec not important either but if it has a red interior that would be a bonus.

anyone know of anything like this ?

When you say 'project' what sort of style are you after? Pro-street, stock original, pro-touring? As a lot of 67's that come up are more often than not back halfed with fiberglass panels due to spending some part of their life on the strip.

Also what sort of budget to buy a project are you looking at as this will also either open or close options..

I would like a non chopped about car that has not been back halfed, I want to do a mild updated resto mod, black body, red interior, rs wheels, white letter tyres and a warmed up 427 with injection. I also want to fit hideaway ss/rs headlights and grille.

budget to buy initial car is sub 10k, s low as possible to get a solid start point.

budget for whole car unknown as I intend to take my time over it and do it right, body off frame etc.

Good luck with your search I reckon you may struggle to find anything sub 10k that is within (semi) economical resto-modernising

Are they running cars with motors or non running projects?

I've shipped several cars in from the US over the last 15-20 years BUT only when I've gone on a holiday/work trip and personally seen the car prior to purchase.

The 'toys' I've shipped in for myself over the years then sold to buy the next toy include:

-'69 4-4-2 hurst olds
-'71 olds cutlass convertable
-'39 ford coupe
-'41 ford pick-up

(Still got the '39 and the '41)

To be honest based on some of the basket cases I've viewed and walked away from I wouldn't dream of buying unseen via eBay.com.

If you do want to go this route there's lots of shippers/importers that'll handle it for you, pick up a copy of Classic American magazine there's plenty of them who advertise in there who'll be able to guide you.

I do have a pals '67 pro street camaro living with me at present but its definately not for sale.

Only a '67 and not a '68 as well ? only minor differences between them.

A friend of mine buys/imports from the USA so could find and ship a specific car through his many contacts.

Well, 68 would probably be ok, I am a fussy bd and don't want a pre done car, I want to do exactly what i have in my mind so a 67 out of preferance.

What are the differences between a 67 and 68 ? if it's anything at all to do with the rear lights I am not interested in a 68 !
