Its more than likely the lpg system is throwing the check light on. Ive had it with two Rams that i had. Try running it on petrol for a while and see if the light goes out.

A lot of ECU's struggle with the fact you're driving along and the fuel gauge isn't going down.

Main reason seems to be because the O2 sensors arnt seeing the right AFR in closed loop due to the LPG fueling not being subject to closed loop.. I doubt its to do with the fuel gauge IMO.

Mine comes on regularly when on LPG, checked the codes & it always says Bank 1 & 2 lean, it normally comes on just after the changeover to LPG, we recently re-mapped the whole system (live through OBD while driving) it now runs the best it ever has but the CEL still comes on! If you alter the correction factor to where it should be (due to the different calorific value of LPG) it runs badly & is too rich, although the CEL doesn't come on so much!

On a similar vein, I have just fitted some winter wheels & tyres, when I fitted them (a couple of weeks ago) I was surprised that the TPMS light did not come on straight away, it took over week & over 400 miles before the warning came on! Don't know how to get rid of that though (without fitting the original wheels) other than disconnecting the battery.

all modern sequential lpg systems run closed loop quite happily.if the check engine light is on then the fueling is off, either to rich or to lean.get it adjusted
