The right hand drive would put me off even if it was an ok conversion but if its what you fancy and in good condition for the price go for it driving

I'd also shy away from a RHD conversion as some are extremely dodgy. Otherwise look that the Opti-Spark has been replaced at some time as it's a pig to replace and check the plastic front wings at the base as some idiots liked to jack them upo and bend the tab.

The autos are not strong boxes either and inevitably end up with issues so make sure that has had the fluids/filter changed regularly.

LHD will always be the better buy and easier to sell on for the suspicions alone. Just a thought.

There were a small number of cars built to RHD spec for the Australian market a few years back, which then found there way to new homes around the world years later.
Check it's originality.

GM have never factory-built RHD Camaro/Firebird (for any market). Oz RHD cars will have been converted after importation.

ah ok, I stand corrected.
were these done through GM franchise dealers? A couple of friends over there have bought a number of american cars over the years, including a a Dodge Viper, Hummer H1, Hummer H2 and Dodge RAM 2500, all in RHD.
