Have dropped the tank on my truck twice in the last few years to fit
upgraded fuel pumps and the straps are fine with no corrosion.
I will ask them to send me some and will swap myself if its required.

Hmmm, Ford weren't interested in the faulty ABS/Brakelight sensor which was subject to a recall in the USA nor were they interested in the manky chrome wheels on my HD, also subject to a USA recall.

What gives?

Hi guys, got this from a bud in usa, hope it may help.Cheers

The dealer has to follow the instructions from Ford to determine which straps you would need. The numbers would be either F65Z-9092-B or F65Z-9092-E

Thanks
Mike R

I've also had the letter for my truck and a mate has had his. Must phone them and see if they'll give me the straps and I'll get my mechanic mate to fit them. No after fitting test drives in my truck. Anyone managed to get the new straps supplied ?.

Alright chaps, Just thought I'd give you all a heads up. I work for a Ford dealer and we have booked an F150 in for this recall already.
The straps are a little tricky to get, the set we ordered have taken a few weeks to get to us. There are 5 different straps depending on cab size, bed length and 4x4 or RWD but your dealer should have the list although you'll most likely have to help them with the ones you'll need as most places wont have a clue whats what.

If theres anything I can do to help just let me know.

Just took my Lightning into local Ford garage for the tank strap recall and they said there is also a recall outstanding for the cruise control. I haven't been notified by Ford but the garage got the bits in and are fixing it tomorow.

Called into my local Ford dealer on Monday with paper work in hand. Mechanic came out had a good luck under the struck. Said my straps are absolutely fine and do not need replacing. The man who appeared to be in charge stated. First we need to check the straps for signs of corrosion. Then if required order the parts. WE have to fit them, sign of the recall and send the old straps back to the states. Hopes this helps
