Just got my letter today as well, think I will be calling my loca Ford dealer first as I dont think they have dealt with many lightnings!! and will wait while its done, dont want some throttel happy jockey "testing" my truck for me before i pick it up!!
Wait for the excuses from the dealers...Truck to big for ramp blah blah...
Yeah well what about a Transit ??? then...
Alright chaps, Just thought I'd give you all a heads up. I work for a Ford dealer and we have booked an F150 in for this recall already.
The straps are a little tricky to get, the set we ordered have taken a few weeks to get to us. There are 5 different straps depending on cab size, bed length and 4x4 or RWD but your dealer should have the list although you'll most likely have to help them with the ones you'll need as most places wont have a clue whats what.
If theres anything I can do to help just let me know.

Called into my local Ford dealer on Monday with paper work in hand. Mechanic came out had a good luck under the struck. Said my straps are absolutely fine and do not need replacing. The man who appeared to be in charge stated. First we need to check the straps for signs of corrosion. Then if required order the parts. WE have to fit them, sign of the recall and send the old straps back to the states. Hopes this helps
