I'm not normally a yank motor fan, but for some reason this car keeps drawing my attention. Then I saw a copy of July's 2011 Classic American magazine which featured the Buick. So now I've read some details of the car I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any good books or websites that'll give me more information about the car, or the V6 engine.

Cheers

There is a little bit of info on the Buick Regal Wiki page, not a lot though

The GNX is ultra rare, generally you refer to the Grand National or the Regal Turbo. They put the amazing V6 turbo into the Turbo Trans Am and the Syclone/Typhhon. With the Trans Am they had to be careful as from the showroom it was quicker than the flagship Corvette!

I toyed with the idea of getting one for years but the profile of them is hideous and the dash is garish. Evil from the front and rear though. Ultimately I decided for those reasons I couldn't do it.

The GNX had a more powerful engine than the Grand National or T-Type. The Trans Am engine was said to be near the power of the GNX engine, but HP rating on paper was the same for all.

The GMC's had a 4.3 liter Chevy engines, and share nothing with the 3.8 liter Buick turbo engines.

I drove a Syclone and a Trans Am in the early ninties, and they both felt scarry fast when the turbos spooled up. Unfortunately, all the turbo engines, (3.8 and 4.3), were automatics.
