Haha cheers son !
Ok all done , the guy was a gent, zero issues
And he reckons I should have my documents in two weeks!
More importantly I’m totally ok to proceed now thank god !

And he had a sense of humour, he said looks like I’ve a few hours work to do !
All good to go then, there will be no holding you back now, congratulations .

Think Harry is right , we need a celebration meet when the T/Am is finished,

Ahem, I've trademarked that term thankyerverymuch. wink

Even though you're all waaay darn sarf, I'd be willing to save up the fuel money and head down for a meet when it's finished.
Good idea.
A meet of to celebrate the T/A rebirth, we should have a meetup

Haha
Sounds like a great idea,
However once I make a proper start and feed information and pictures you’ll all will be loosing the will to live !!
laugh

But the last quarter of a restoration is where it all gets fun,
Once you can see it coming back together there’s something special happening,
It’s a kind of drug I guess, but once the Tranny’s done I’m going into rehab then possibly gender reassignment hehe

Found it. Looks really good, I wonder what the reserve is.Listing here:

15" Torq Thrust Ds with white letter fat tyres, always a winning combo in my eyes. Think I could just squeeze 15 x 8s on the back of mine, hmm, tempted.

That is really nice - so many don't have that interior trim.......body just needs to be slightly lower........

got to 21K failed to sell,
prices are falling as the buyers are not there, however some slightly dodgy DB4's and 5's are still making huge cash,
i looked at one being fitted up following a resto, hummm wasnt impressed, and was surprised how odd they look with the glass and frames out,
not pretty behind the facade !

Mine’s a 701/2
Had a look today and it’s still got its second brake valve !
So yet another year marker!

Don’t think Ali’s were an option on this early car,
No beauty rings either!
It’s had a modification on its oil filter, I did notice a biggish cooler mounted behind one of the rad grilles
So it’s got a remote filter housing with filter,
So that’s something I’ll need to address,
Fuel pump has also gone and the hole blanked off,
Big Ol’ bendix mounted in the trunk
So maybe the old girl was a bit of a street racer back in the day !
I may start a mystery mythical story about this white tranny roaming around Medway in the 70’s
The White Ghost,
Nice whistle

Now with the internet when your not working on the T/Am in your garage you

can be playing detective digging up any interesting history you may find,

Hopefully more typegood rather than bad ,

Haha yeah almost done!
Well the 3 piece rear spoiler is all in primer,
As is the trunk lid, almost ready to epoxy the rear light panel, this is GPR, and had its fair share of cracks etc!
I’ve done all the locks and strikers, removal of the front bumper/nose panel is next, this is also quite horrible so got my work cut out making this good!
I was surprised at the size of the brackets that support it!
Freaking massive!

I’m rifle shooting Saturday and clay busting Sunday so naff all will happen this weekend!
Then off on holiday Thursday morning so not much progress this side of August!
Nothing from DVLA as yet, which is giving me the hump so better just to bugger off and do something else for awhile!!

This could be our summer so got to make the most of it .

I recall it raining almost every day of last July and wasn't a lot better in August .
