My wife would like an MX-5. Good news.

However, being Canadian she'd like an automatic. It's not a deal breaker as she has a full UK licence but preferably an auto appeals more than a standard (Canada speak for manual).

Are they reliable? Is it just a Ford box (same name..).

She's also open to a TT DSG but an MX-5 is what she's set her sights on.

Thanks for that, sounds promising. We're both early fifties so we're not after any sort of track work, just a nice cruiser for the odd weekend away.

Might also take a look at a Z4.

I can't see the lack of a LSD being a problem on her commute.
