Headlights popping up when sidelights selected...

As per the title, when I switch my lights to side-lights, the main lamps pop-up and shine a reduced beam.

I have ordered nice new xenon-upgrade bulbs and LED sidelights which I am planning on fitting on Saturday.

How do I stop the lamps popping up on the sidelight selection?

I presume yours is a UK car? There's a mod that involves fiddling with one of the relays. Never done it myself as I only had imports but I'll see if I can find the details anywhere.
