After a long week....I finally got to pick up my SC '5 from Mark at OnlyMX5s!

drivingyikes

The most barnstorming fun outside of the bedroom....

Running a JRSC M45 with EMB, the dyno shows 195 bhp at the engine and 164 bhp at the wheels.

It's a handful so I am taking it easy, but the extra poke is thrilling. Very useful on the motorway too!

So, some pics:

She's a cracker!

195bhp coldside is a decent result! Mark clearly knows what he's doing biggrin

p.s. looks like your cat is on it's way out...

I hope not! She is only 8 months old!

I agree 195 bhp is a great result and it certainly feels it - pulls like a train through every gear.

Lovely looking car - but that tailpipe could do with a good clean! Meguiars Metal Polysh does the trick nicely.

M45 with EMB is what I'm plotting for mine. 195bhp from the 1.6, should be a touch more from the 1.8... biggrin

Looks great. Now, where is that overtime claim form...

I'm guessing that isn't standard pulleys though. M45 standard is usually nearer 160bhp coldside or 170bhp hotside on 1.6. On either engine, to get more than 195 you will have to look at IC and/or WI.

Mine is a 1.8 with 'non-standard' pulleys....

So is MAF rather than AFM (though I must admit I didn't even look).
