Clutch has gone... what do I need?
Discussion
Typical, one week back on the road and clutch has let go!
Just weighing up whether to do it myself or not, gonna get a labour quote tomorrow from my friendly local garage.
As for parts - I need clutch disc, cover plate, and release bearing, obviously. Anyone reccomend a particular kit? Not bothered about an 'upgrade'. Autolink have an unknown brand 3pc kit for £97. Any advances on that?
And - anything else worth changine while box and engine are apart?
Rough idea of how many hours labour I should expect? I would presume less than 4 it looks quite an easy one.
Thanks.

While the box is off (and especially if you're changing the rear main seal) it might be worth getting a new spigot bearing, as they can get a bit noisy. Only about £6 from mx5parts IIRC.
Oh, and when you fit the new clutch, make sure you check the pedal height/lash (it's described in Rod's manual - essentially adjusting the length of the pushrod that actuates the master cyl) - when I fitted my new clutch, it would still slip when hot, until (after replacing the slave and lots of attempts at bleeding) I adjusted mine, and suddenly all was well and the pedal felt much better!
