anyone done a head gasket? think no.4 is leaking :(

£500 later after rear main seal + sump resealing, i'm still loosing oil 
coming from the rover K series the last thing i was expecting was a HG to go on one of these?!
i know, i should have done a compression test, but hey ho. i was going to put some oil down the bores after comp checking dry to see if there's any oil being burned, but i'm fairly sure it's leaking straight past the HG and into the bellhousing, all over my brand new FM lightweight flywheel + clutch knowing my luck!
what are HG's like to do on the B6 engine? do the heads themselves ever warp? (hoping not) are there many gasket types around? head bolts reuseable or buy new/uprated?
this has given me an incentive to look into coolant re route kits i think. the leak isn't too bad at the mo but i figure it'll only get worse
