Ok, I am now thinking it is time to sell my beloved Dakar to upgrade to a supercharged / FI'd car that has had all the work done.

Hard to value my car because it is mechanically sound (serviced with fully synthetic oil), had a few nice additions (NGK iridium sparks, Magnecor HT leads, K&N Panel Filter, Mongoose SS exhaust), has a relatively new hood (2 years old), 4 nearly new Toyo T1R's and more.

It is a 1997 1.8 UK Dakar in decent nick.

BUT...it has been accident damaged (by me boxedin) and repaired. You could say it is better now than it was when I bought it as it has new bonnet and front bumper, freshly resprayed, but I know buyers don't think like that!!

I paid £3,700 a couple of years ago and I guess, given everything, I would hope to get back in the region of £2-2.5k...

...reasonable?

It would have to be quite tidy to command 2.5k, make sure its clean, interior is in good nick etc.

If its a bit tatty then your optimistic though.

84k miles.

Surface rust on the chassis but not much.

Work done on sills and hammerited all over.

Good bodywork due to replacement panels after accident, but someone twunt nudged one of the wings so there is a small ding (not really noticeable unless up close).

New brakes discs and pads all round late 2008.

New mats.

Leather seats a bit leggy, particularly driver-side bolster.

Upgraded brighter lights and side lights.

It's a pretty sound motor.
