Your local motor factors (or even Halfords) should be able to provide you with a pad with no more information than the number plate. Their "own brand" ones (actually Ferrodo) will be fine for everyday road use.

Go to MX5Parts: http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/index.php/cPath/65_67

There's a selection of makes, including Mazda which are usually cheaper than main dealers.

There are not loads of choices for your car in terms of fittings. There is lots of choice in terms of pad material.

Assuming you're not driving like your hair is on fire all the time, or taking it on track. A set of these would do:

Edit: Oh and these disks would do.

I got a set of Pagid discs and pads (rear) for a Mk1 1.8 for less than £50.

They are by no means performance pads/discs - rather road replacements, but they are good. I like them and will be chopping my fronts soon too.

Euro Car Parts is the place to go. Order online.

Cheers

Yep, I am getting those from MX5 Parts for my 1.6 and will hopefully be fitting them myself - they were reccommended on the MX5OC as being suitable for normal road use.

Also, the ones from Euro Car Parts as mentioned ^^ are a good alternative I think.
