What do you recon? Will I be able to fit 4x 14" watanabes, with tyres on into my Mk1?

2 In the boot, with the spare out & 2 in the pass footwell/on seat?. Gentlemen your opinions please or am going to have to think of an alternative to transport em.

no problem i'd say! with an empty boot 2 in the rear would be ok 185/65/14 i presume? only issue i could see is it may make handbrake usage difficult if you have one on the passenger seat flat

No way will you get 2 wheels with tyres in the boot.

1 in the boot, 2 side/side on the passenger seat and one wheel on top of the two on the passenger seat.

I doubt it. When I had a flat, I put on the space saver, only to find out that my ridiculous 17" wheel wouldnt fit in the boot. I haven't tried with the new 15"s, but I doubt that two would fit.

How about strapping one to the top of the boot lid? I've never tried it, and I'm not sure what the BiBs might say, so on your own head be it. biggrin

Yes you can do it.

I picked up 4 15" wheels with tyres in my car.

Take out the passenger seat. Its only 4 bolts, piss easy.

Then you can get 3 in the passenger side, one in the boot (with spare wheel out).

Also if I hadnt have had the harness bar in, I could have actually fitted the 4th onto the parcel shelf.

Warning - make sure you secure all the wheels down with straps, tightly. You do not want wheels flying about insdie the car on a roundabout or emergency brake.
