Looks pretty sweet i think, a lot nicer than others i've seen.

Yes it has a couple of "mods", exhaust and the little cut out in the headlamp flap but i can live with that...sellers seems ok so far, area looks ok (always a good indicator).....what haven't i seen.... wink

Looks nice (disclaimer... I know nothing about mx-5s except what I've read in the last week with an eye on getting one myself wink )

Why would it have a high flow fuel pump? Could have had a turbo/sc fitted requiring a stronger pump which has then been removed leaving the pump there?

Doesn't look to bad, the only thing I would say is look very carefully at the "mods" that have been done. There are plenty of people out there (such as a lot of the mx5 nutz guys) that seem do do a very professional job when they change/upgrade bits but there are also plenty of muppets who don't. Just make sure he hasn't DIYed things and botched his exhaust on etc.. you dont want the head light lid flipping off at speed because it's been duck taped on and the exhaust falling off because he didn't replace the rusted bolts he cut off. I'm sure it will all be fine but make sure you double check. As always, if in doubt, walk away. Plenty of MX5s out there.

Looks a good buy.....I would lose the windblocker personaly & change the centre console to black but other than that if it`s as tidy as it looks in the pics then i can`t see anything that would put me off.

Good input guys!

From the picks it does look clean, the engine bay looks nice and tidy too. Exhaust is the first thing i'll be looking at then asking a few questions about the other bits.

What do you think i should aim for price wise?

I'm thinking go in at 1200? i can't see him dropping much tbh though.

Agreed that intereior is a little on the brownside, but looks oks. Lots of red piping in the engine bay, a bit OD for my taste.
There seems to be a forest of "magic trees" hanging of the ciggy lighter dooberry. Now perhaps the seller enjoys them, though they could be masking stinky wet carpets. Be sure to give em a good feel all over, under & behind the seats too.
Good luck with it.thumbup

yes

Call the guy beforehand and ask if it has been turboed or supercharged - he may have sold this off already..I can't think of any other reason to have a hi-flow fuel setup.
