recently i've felt a lot of slop in the drive train of my 1600. The UJ's seem ok, i think a lot of full throttle, hard braking on track hasn't helped things. So, i either get the diff adjusted/teeth re ground, find another lower mileage one from scrappy, but it'd have to be a 1600, or i convert to 1800 diff and shafts. Anyone have an idea on costs of either route?

If you are tracking it, I wouldn't bother with 1.6 diffs anymore. They are known to fail.

I blew up my VLSD on my 1991 Eunos. Too many standing starts I think.

1.8 shafts, prop and open diff factor about £150-£180

the above with a Torsen LSD I'd say your around the £300 mark.

factor in new diff seals and diff oils.

Warren.
