MX5 checklist...

I'm thinking of buying a cheapie MX5 as a bit of a late winter project, to have back on the road for late spring.

They seem to be dropping below £1000 and its something like that i'd be looking for with a few to spending a bit on it, then maybe breaking even come resale time.

What sort of know problems should i be looking out for?

What sort of things would help it sell best come resale time? Best colours? Best engine size?
