Indicators flashing fast...

As per the title really. Having been stood for about 3 weeks (while a new hood was fitted) my indicators now seem to flash at about double speed. All of the bulbs are working so does anyone have any ideas as to what the cause might be?

Flasher unit is shagged or you have fitted LEDs?

Do they all flash as they should, but twice as fast? If not the unit, then bad earth.

Yep, they all flash fine but too fast. Any idea where I should be looking for the earth?

Try the flasher unit first. Should be attached to the fuse box. For the earth, try making your own from one of the flashers in the boot to a good 'known' earth point and see if it makes a differece. Also check to see if your other lights dim in time with the flash - brake lights for example. Sure sign of a bad earth on the bulb holder.
