If it's not too late happy new year to all. Having gone cross eyed for the last couple of weeks reading lots of threads I thought the time had come to join in.

I bought my first 5 last July - a 2004 mk 2.5 1.8 sport in blue from a main dealer in Lincolnshire for £7500. 44,000 miles, one OC member from new, full documentated MDSH and a one year Mazda warranty. At the time I felt I was probably paying a bit over the odds but apart from love af first sight the car just 'felt right' (does that make sense?). The previous owner had part exed it for a mk 3 (I rang him a week after buying it really just to talk 5's and asked him if he thought the mk 3 was a better car - he said it was just a completely different car and would not give me a straight yes or no....). The car has been a complete revalation to me in every department - yes, as well documentated by other members not the swiftest to 60 or whatever but more than enough to thrill. Fortunately not every road is Roman so the grinning begins...

The car is not my daily driver so I am in the lucky position of being able to keep it polished and ready for the first dry salt free day (please be soon). This is probably just as well as I am cursed with being a really fussy fanny (just starting to accept it now!).

Sorry for rambling. Quick question - I gave the car a quick waxoyl last summer, using a small compressor and an underseal gun. That was fine for blathering 90% of the underneath but this spring I want to do inside the doors / sills etc. Does anybody know of a gun with a pipe that can do this that is not barmy money? Sealy do one but I think my compressor is not powerful enough. Any ideas? Here's a couple of pictures (hopefully):

FYI - if you tilt your seats forward, remove the seatbelts and the seatbelt tower plastics, then you can also get access to the inner sill area and the inside/bottom of the rear wing, the rust hotspot!

Great tip thanks - duly noted. Any tips on the tool to do it with? Years ago I tried the waxoyl hand pistol type thing with the pipe but it was crap. Also I have noticed some fairly decent size holes (drainage?) at the bottom of the doors. Is this a good place to inject?

Cheers
