Careful out there !

Those of you who are out and about in the snow this week
I was all over the place around 7pm this evening and there was only a dusting on the road. It was seriously slippery and the front end was washing out with no provocation whatsoever - was great fun having to countersteer and hit the gas to get it back in line but was always worried about sliding wide and getting into trouble...It was slow speed but properly out of shape. Other road users must have thought i was a right tool but there was nothing i could do to keep the car straight!
My yoko's have well and truely past their sell by date methinks.
Anyway take care if you are out in the white stuff

i went out last night because i live on a nice and quiet country lane to play and as said above it was atrotious but bloody good fun! Ive found that i prefer making the car go sideways so i know what its actually doing where as if i drive properly it can let go at anytime. I managed a 200+ meter drift in 5th at about 10mph (although for obv reasons the speedo was showing alot more)
i know it sounds like im a nutter but i feel i can conrol annd know what the car is doing better when im sideways in the snow

Yes, it's worth saying be careful. After taking the pics I posted in the other thread, up in Epping Forest where the roads were not gritted (and carparks certainly not) I went down into Loughton and was having great trouble keeping it in a straight line on the high street. It stepped sideways on me at no more than 10mph at one point (rear following the camber), so I cruised along facing 20degrees right of the direction of travel...
Great fun steering the car using a combination of the right foot and the force, though.
