I've noticed a 1.6 Eunos has shown up at a dealer round the corner from me for peanuts - does anyone have any thoughts on this/things to look out for? I'm kinda green to MX-5's at the moment...

Bit hard to tell from that one pic, but I wouldn't say it was peanuts. About average for year/spec/mileage. If it had any signs of rust I wouldn't entertain it, as other examples with rust are available for around £1k......... hth

Cool, thanks for that. Anything else need worrying about on these? What is worth checking?

Nothing really to worry about with these, just check normal things like oil etc. Check the sills and arches for rust/rot. Liten out for HLA clatter on start up, should go away after a few seconds. My advice would be take it for a good long test drive, check for any coolant / over heating problems (there shouldn't be any)
But generally these are bullet proof, always buy on condition! I would look to get it for around £1300 if it's any good.........

That mk1. MR2 looks interesting as well.

The bonnet clips on the Eunos suggest it may have not exactly have been driven by Miss Daisy biggrin

I am imagining those are purely cosmetic but could be a good bargaining point with the dealer [feigned horror] "Look, it's OBVIOUSLY been raced ffs!!" LOL.. wink

The Lotus badge on the nose is funny too. Goes with the gold wheels though. And it's BRG, which as we all know are the fastest ones. wink

The badge is probably a eunos badge in the lotus colours.

You can get them on ebay for around £20 i think.

And it isnt a good price for it neither, brg isnt the most popular colour (sorry if anyones got one here!).
