Haven't used the car for a while, but took it out for a spin today. Oddly, the clutch seems heavy, and there is a small amount of completely free travel in the pedal (I would guess 0.5cm) before it starts engaging. Plenty of fluid, and it seems to work ok once the "slack" is taken up. Any ideas?

Just a guess, but the slave cylinders are normally the first thing to check on these with any clutch woes. From memory it is bolted on the side of the g'box and is easily accessible by removing the OSF wheel.

If you look under the clutch pedal (you'll need to be quite skinny and flexible to achieve this!) you will see there is an adjustment, you'll need to tighten the part of the clutch cable that pushes in up against the back of the pedal, then tighten the nut down to stop it working back loose again.
