I have recently enquired about fitting a Turbo kit to my 1991 1.6 Eunos but Performance5 stated they are not providing prices or advice for kits at the moment??

Anyone else experienced similar from Performance5? Can anyone recommend someone else in the UK to supply such kits?

Many thanks

Mike

I can supply and fit turbo kits but I'd rather not.

I much prefer superchargers and still have a used JRSC kit available.

It depends where you are based. Everythingmx5.com (Romford) have vast experience fitting Greddy and Begi kits or you can take up OnlyMXfives' offer.

Got to ask, how much to supply and fit the used supercharger? Must resist, must resist.

Did he say why not? I've used Phil at P5 and found him to be excellent.

I wrote back to Phil and asked why, but I did not get a response back from Phil. Hence why I have asked here for alternatives??

Ideally I would like to do a DIY install. Not for cost reasons but for my own understanding of 'how it all works...'. Again ideally I would like to go the turbo route rather than the supercharger route because I work in the turbo industry - we cast the hot end turbine wheels from nickel based superalloys. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

If you just want to buy a kit I'd get one from FM or Begi.

Typically Begi's prices are keener but customer care isn't in the same league as FM.

Just to keep updated - it seems performance five are not seeing a market for the imnported kits because of the increased costs from the US due to the current dollar exchange rate. Been looking at the BEGI website and am tempted - although I don;t think the ShanghaiTurbo option looks very attractive?? Anyone with experience? Or maybe I should search mx5nutz??

For the USA kits its better searching Miata Net or Miata Turbo Net

Personally would rather buy a good used turbo than a Chinese one.
