On Saturday I visited Tony at Wheels in Motion in Chesham to have the car lowered and the geometry set up.

What can I say!? The car is completely transformed and I'm in love with it!

Tony and the guys there were really great, answered all my questions, were happy to let me watch everything they were doing. A really refreshing change from the garages I have visited for a while. Would whole heartedly recommend it (and the garage) to anyone - car looks so much better too (pics to follow)...

I'm glad that you have had this positive experience and posted it on here for all to see smile

I along with some others have been banging on about getting a correct alignment for ages and some still don't get the message. They think that their car is handling just fine as it is so they don't bother. They just don't realise how much better their car could be handling if it was set up correctly. This is even more important on a Mk3 as you can't get ideal geometry settings with the stock springs, it needs to be lowered and then set up properly - having said that, even a Mk3 on stock springs can be improved with a good geo setup.

WiM are probably the top garage for doing this in the country if we are talking about consumer market (I'm sure there are plenty of garages that specialise in race cars that know as much or probably more on the subject) but there are plenty of others all over the country who can do an equally good job. Tony at WiM is a good guy to talk to as he is happy to recommend good garages and has in the past even given them a call to check out their knowledge & experience in advance and to give them recommended geo settings for people thumbup
