In June I bought a '94 1.8 Eunos Roadster. On Saturday I got a chance to have a proper look underneath it while it was on a lift when I was getting tyres fitted.

I noticed some holes which had obviously been used as mounting points in the past. After some digging round the interweb I now realise that the rear brace bars that were fitted as standard to the 1.8 models have been removed frown

In this picture I have ringed (in a very professional manner) the 3 bars that are missing.

I'd like to replace these parts as things do feel a bit wobbly during hard cornering and braking.

Does anyone know where I can get these bars? I know there are plenty of aftermarket braces out there, but really I just want to replace what should already be there. Thanks!

Sure, but I'm hoping somebody might come up with a cheaper alternative smile

The usual MX5 breakers - MX5 Heaven or Autolink.
Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? If so they might have been removed because they were knocking on it.

There are 2 1.8s being broken on Ebay at the moment. Are they the same on a 1.6?

That's a good point about the exhaust. It looks standard, but you never know what was fitted when it was in Japan.

I don't think the 1.6 has these brace bars, or the mounting points to fit them.

There seems to be a lot of variation between cars.

My 1.8 has those, but i also have some similar looking ones which run longitudinally alongside the PPF - they lookfactory, but I've not seen them on any other car?

I'm sure Autolink will be able to help out.
