girlfriends wants an MX-5

well, she actually wanted a new VW beetle soft top. I told her she'd be stupid to get one and have convinced her the MX-5 is a good option, so were off hunting for one over the next few weeks!

Shes after a post 2000 car (as new as possible) on a budget of £5k max.

are there any common issues with these cars to look out for?

Not really just check for body and hood condition as that's what varies most.

yeah rotten rear arches and general hood condition, my 02 seems a bit rotten underneath too, (brake pipes etc)

theres going to be a slight delay in the hunt due to some issues with her current car that need sorting before selling it. Really can't wait to go car shopping for a nice one tho
