Looking to the future.
Should be picking up my mx5 project in the next couple of weeks.
First jobs will be sorting some bodywork, rear brakes, pas leaks and exhaust. A good service and get it MOT'd, this should cost about £500 (not including any professional respray work).
If I like the car and think I can fit in it and drive it with my large 6'3" frame, I'll look to upgrades:
1. Brakes
2. Suspension
3. Performance - Only aiming for about 160 from the early 1.6

I see reference to turbo kits such as Greddy etc for less then £1k. But can't find anyone actually selling them in the UK. The other turbo kits are way out of my price range at over £2k. I'm also happy to collect the parts needed individually to do the install my self. So anyone who knows who sells what in the UK?

How much power can be gained through decatting, sports exhuast, inlet, cams, timing, porting heads etc.
Cheers

Can't help you on the turbo side of things but supercharging might be an easier route?

Derek from Gaz shocks has a 1.6 demo car thats had a fair bit of head work done now and hes very chuffed with the gains. I am sure there is a thread in here somewhere about it i will try and dig it out when i get a sec.

Greddy turbo kits can still be found if you search.

Personally I'd spend a little more and get a Begi

(actually personally I'd get a supercharger)
