I have had to replace 3 of my brake calipers recently on my Eunos due to seizures(common fault). Pads also changed.

However, as I'm driving along there is a rattling noise coming from the brakes, front I think. If I very lighty touch the brake pedal the rattling stops and restarts when you let go. However, normal use of the brake pedal, ie approaching junctions etc, sometimes causes a loud cracking noise to occur!

Whats causing this? The brakes operate perfectly, the calipers are not loose as I have checked.

I'm just a bit concerned thats all. It didn't do this before the calipers & pads were changed...

Your pads may be simply rattling in the calliper. Were there springs on the front pads/clips on the rears?

Something like this should help

I had this after doing a front brake job and it was nothing more sinister than one of the shims was not seated correctly.

Thanks, I'll check the springs & shims. When its warmer that is, car is tucked up for winter at the moment. RWD on dark winter pennine roads isn't the best!!
