Will standard J reg mx5 service bits be ok with my J reg v spec or do I need anything special with it being a jap?

The only significant difference between a Jap Eunos and a UK MX5 is the badge on the back.

Rear number plate panel is a different size for Jap import, IIRC the ECU is very, very slightly different on the import (but either will work in the car).

Other than that, anything that matters is identical, certainly service parts are all exactly the same.

The Eunos was limited to 112mph and has a higher redline than the UK cars, which I think is the ECU change already mentioned

But limited to 112 with a little pin/microswitch in the back of the speedo, no?

Remove pin....

As far as I know UK & Jap spec cars have the same rev limit. If the redline on the rev counter is different that means nothing at all.

wasn't that the 1.6, but the 1.8 needs another workaround?
