MX-5 Owners Club Western Region Run, 18th October
Discussion
On Sunday October 18th, the Western Region of the MX-5 Owners Club organised a Run to Gloucester docks. As I'd only recently joined, and never done one before, I decided to go. Weather was a bit dull to start with but brightened up during the day so all the tops stayed down (except for the cowards with hardtops).
We met at the top of Toghill on the A420 - here's the view, old Severn Bridge is in the middle.
Waiting for the off.
Nice number plate! (My car is on the right.)
As you can see, cars of all ages were represented. I think we had about 15 turn up.
We the went through Chipping Sodbury, Yate, crossed the A38 and stopped at Slimbridge for lunch.
Here we are in the car park at Slimbridge having a nosh and natter.
"So what do you call that front end?"
"JAWS!"
Me trying to be arty-farty as we queued to get over the narrow bridge coming out of Slimbridge.
And so to our final destination ...
... Gloucester Docks arriving at about 1:30.
And the final photo, taken from the cafeteria at the top of the Antiques Centre, while enjoying a well-earned drink and slice of cake after browsing for a good couple of hours.
Any PH-ers recognise themselves here?
I also took the video camera with me and have today poted the result on YouTube:
