mk1 versus mk2.5 (any mk1 owners in the Manchester area?)

I've driven a Mk2 albeit just a standard one and I have a Mk1 RS Ltd. The latter definitely handles better with less body roll, more control and more nimble feeling, its also more raw.

That said comparing like with like I doubt there is a huge difference, but the Mk1 is definitely the more raw, sporty drive, as the '5 tended to get a little more grown up as time went on.
