Anyone done one? I've been eyeing it up for a while now. They have a new date available in November... Its likely to be cold and slippery and wet (hence FUN!).

Never done any track driving in my own car before - and only other (very, very limited!) previous experience is in rally cars on loose stages.

Its quite a long drive for me, but I reckon I could drive all the way there with some basic tools and a couple of spare wheels in the car easily enough.

Anyone done one of these days? Any other novices fancy it?

Wish they could organise more for weekends.. but then I suppose the site rental is higher.

I've been doing some reading - apparently after this one (which may be the last for a few months over winter i guess) they are lookign at doing them on weekends due to predictable popular demand. I dont really mind either way, its as good excuse for a day off as any.

I'm in two minds about this one as I think I firstly need to spend the money on sorting out my suspension and brakes, which was always my plan over winter - so at least I'll have a strong car for spring.

I think I should do one of these before I go on track again...
And replace the suspension...
And the brake fluid...

hehe

http://www.mazdaontrack.co.uk/finmere-car-control-... Mine is the sideways mk2 sport... heheevil

Yup, done it - verrrrry tempted with the November date too, its bloody awesome fun. You'll be encouraged to slide around, and after a couple of runs you'll get the hang of it... if you dont spin, you're not trying hard enough. hehethumbup

Oh and I am on stock brakes/shocks, nothing special - you'll have a laugh even if its solidly sprung or wallowy shot shocks and you wont have to brake hard at all. Seriously good fun.

That's what my GF said, people obviously don't have much faith in my driving! hehe

They lay them like that to indicate the direction of the course. Otherwise it's easy to get lost to begin with. Either that or the guy (or girl!) before me got them...
